Women
The women of Light in the Valley Community Church gather at regular intervals for fellowship and learning opportunities.
Among the events enjoyed by women are:
- Bible study - Weekly Bible studies are a continual draw for women of varied backgrounds. Materials from Beth Moore and others have been used to great impact. Currently, there is a study at the home of Anita Davenport (8040 Icicle Rd, Leavenworth) Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. A different study is held at the home of Ann Mayer (11649 Eagle Creek Rd) Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.
- Mother/Daughter Tea - Each fall, women and their daughters gather to celebrate their special relationships. With an attractive meal and a special speaker, lives and relationships are re-centered on the person of Jesus,
- Women of Faith - The conference for women, led by nationally-known speakers and musicians, provides an opportunity for area women to be recharged and refreshed in the company of thousands of other women of faith. A large number of women from LIV regularly attend one of the area conferences each spring.
